Who is Tyler?
And more importantly, does Dionna like his beard?
We met on Bumble, in July of 2020. I (Tyler) was just about to be done with online dating, and dating in general. However, I received a notification one night, “Dionna sent you a message.” I opened the app and read, “Hi, my name is Dionna and I like Sushi and traveling, what about you?” Little did I know hundreds of other guys got this same message, a little test, if you will. I stuck out to Dionna and less than a week later we met up at the Rochester Zoo for our first date. Later that night I cooked her a home made meal and we fell in love. I asked Dionna to be my girlfriend with a candy ring-pop.
A little over a year later I sat down to ask Dionna’s parents and brother if I could marry their daughter. Over dinner they asked me questions about my plans for the future, how Dionna and I settle our differences and more. Ignatius then described how he worries every day he gets up, what will happen to his only daughter when he is no longer on this earth. He looked at me and said with me in her life, he worries less and less every day. This was the moment I knew I made the right decision in picking Dionna to be my future wife.
Those of you who have never met Dionna wont know this, but she is a stroke survivor. At 14 she suffered a major stroke that killed her in the operating room. I love Dionna anyway, despite her disability, she is the single most inspiring person I have ever met. Dionna was actually my inspiration to finally start this company! P.S. Dionna thinks my beard tickles her too much when we kiss, but I am not allowed to shave it.
